Welcome to a new era of quantum computing. https://ibm.co/3sU23xh
It’s the first day of IBM Quantum Summit 2023, and we are thrilled to share a bevy of announcements and updates with you.
At today’s event, we’re presenting new capabilities we’re developing in order to support the next wave of quantum users: quantum computational scientists. In addition to unveiling an operational IBM Quantum System Two, we’re sharing our newest, highest-performing quantum processor yet, Heron—and demonstrating how we’re scaling quantum processors with the 1,121-qubit IBM Condor processor.
We’re also introducing Qiskit 1.0, Qiskit’s first stable release, alongside Qiskit Patterns—a framework for quantum computational scientists to do meaningful scalable work with quantum algorithms. With Qiskit Patterns, users can seamlessly create quantum algorithms and applications from a collection of foundational building blocks and execute those Patterns using heterogeneous computing infrastructure such as Quantum Serverless, now available as a beta release. We’re also deploying new execution modes so computational scientists can maximize performance from our hardware while they run utility-scale workloads.
And finally we’re sharing our new roadmap, laying out a vision for quantum computing all the way to 2033. This is the most exciting time in quantum computing to date, and we’re so proud to share with you. Head over to the IBM blog for more details.
